To all those who are looking to buy this item, I recommend this product. It gives you the dual-band connection as promised. However, it is not mentioned on any ads that you would need a cd player in your laptop or computer to install the driver before you can use the usb adapter so just make sure that you do have that. Otherwise, you can install the driver from the Asus website.

On installation of this $49 ASUS MU-MIMO Wi Fi adaptor I was expecting great performance but was a little surprised that it was not much different to the average $10 WiFi adaptor that can be purchased.
