literally the 1st ukulele i've bought so i don't really know anything, but it sounds pretty nice to me. honestly this thing is better than i was expecting for 40 bucks. very shiny and smooth with with cute dolphin shaped tuning machine plate thingies. i'm upgrading to a concert size because this one is a soprano and feels a bit small for my hands, but for a 1st practice uke for smaller handed people i reckon this one is just fine
