Our DC23 Dyson vacuum started smoking heavily and than abruptly stopped. It was obvious that the motor had burnt out so we ordered a new one. Once it arrived, it was quite easy to open the vacuum and replace the motor. Also had to order a new hepa filter as the motor had burnt the old one up. So far this vacuum works as new! Cheaper than buying a new one!

Genuine item. Works perfectly. You will most likely need to also replace the hepa filter at another $80 which brings the total cost of repair to $210. Still economic than a replacement vac at $800.

Genuine unit that gives confidence it won't be a short term fix and a fairly easy changeover.

My Dyson motor was making some very bad noise and the magic smoke start to leave, so I ordered this unit and after watching some videos I was able to swap over the motors. Now my Dyson vacuum is just like new again

All looks good . Shame the carbon brushes don’t have auto cut outs on the original motor.
