I bought this knife on the basis of numerous online recommendations. I wanted something a bit smaller than the 20 cm knives I have on the rack. When it arrived, I asked the post office contractor to wait while I opened the parcel. It was so light, I thought the seller had neglected to include the knife! Well the knife was there, and what a change it was from the satisfyingly hefty feel of my Mondial and Wusthof knives. However it was sharp and has done a fine job so far on vegetables and boneless meat. The test will come when it has to deal with something a bit tougher. I still treat it a bit gingerly as if it was a ceramic knife, but maybe my confidence in it will grow. I've got Portuguese and German knives that I've owned for 40 years, still in top condition and doing yeoman service. Somehow I can't see the Victorinox being around in 2057, but that might just be my prejudice. And at the price, it's certainly an attractive proposition for cooks on a budget.Read full review

Bit thin, cuts really good, nice handle design, very good for the price.

I bought this to replace the last one I bought 20 years ago. I m sure the reason it finally broke was because I have been putting it in the dishwasher for the last 3 years which probably isn't the best thing. The blade is still fine and my hubby has made another handle for it and we now use the old one outside for the BBQ.

that is because this knife is sharper than a tack..... really easy to use and can cut through almost anything so far the edge has remained add new and we expect that it will remain sharp for years
