This USB definitely transfers files much faster than a USB 2.0. In terms of value, you get 32GB for only $19.97. If you didn't need all your files to be in 1 storage device, you could opt for several of these and save around $30. The only thing I would dislike the most would be the hardware, you've got to know where to hold it so that the actual metal bit will go in to the computer/ laptop and not slide back in to the plastic outer shell.
