The unit itself is fair in commission, being of sound build, however the title of controls that herein entail a troublesome woe, befit of some precursive tale of befeit. The volume seems to always be set on 25, so that every time this little squawk box turns on, the pre-determined decibels stem blood from the ears. I have a habit of turning things off at the power point when i leave the location- ie- the shed where this thing is located, so perhaps my defunct ways are contributing to the problem, not least the unentitled power consumption of stand by products that remain unused for some time and hence contributing to our global woes.. The pre-determined FM stations match no known radio waves in AUS, and to tune this malefic box of joy one must resort to the remote control that has buttons the size of a mouses nipples, lest you find yourself trying to tune it with the search function on the face of the box itself, which would lead you down the rabbit hole of frustration, as every time you stop the search, the delightful box takes you to resume your search at 80.5FM.. I must point out here that i live a fair way out of the centre of a semi minor regional town (think wodonga) and should have long ago decided my place of residence to be closer than the 8km from the GPO- so perhaps the radio waves dont travel that far. Telstra could also look at this product, because they seem to enjoy the same towers.. In my ignorance, i assumed the input cord would accept the old ipod that has all my music on it, but alas, i was also incorrect in this instance, receiving nothing but a volume of 25 of pure static white noise, which once again forced the blood to pulsate in my eardrums causing a minor hernia. I have since sourced a regular sterio unit from the facebook that accepts this "old technology" via an aux cord and everything seems to work fine, but again, perhaps the old 2010 technology just cant compete with 2021 and i am the one that needs updating now i have gone past my 42nd bday. In summary- I wouldn't do it again, put it that way. Read full review
