I’m always skeptical when buying a kit but I have to say that this one was very well done. The wood is perfect, the neck to body joint is tight with a nice grain on the neck and a body that looks to be 2 pieces but hard to tell as they matched the grain so well. The hardware is your typical low end stuff but I knew that going into this build and already had it in mind to buy higher end components. If you’re looking for a great starting point to an explorer build then this is it. It’s also closest in shape (neck and body) to a Gibson explorer. Tone pros bridge is compatible with using the existing posts and just about any tuning machines will work. I never tried the pickups as I had custom pickups made for this build. It was definitely worth the price for the wood alone.
