This is a nice set for first time slot car owners. The two replica cars are great and the track is relatively easy to put together. The only issue is getting the loop to sit securely on the ground on both sides. Because the inbound track is coming off the high-banked curve, it is almost impossible to get the loop to lay flat on the ground. You almost need some additional track pieces to extend the track to make this work. When the loop doesn’t sit securely on the ground, the track vibrates and this sometimes causes the cars to crash into each other when taking the loop. This can be frustrating to younger kids who want the cars to stay on the track for longer.
