Hashimoto's Protocol
Excellent book, reads almost like a who-dun-it. The personal story of how conventional medicine failed to diagnose, and then went on to make things worse for someone with Hashimoto's disease. After ten years, she finally began doing her own research and this book shares that journey. More important, she will give you the information her doctors didn't give her, and tell you about symptoms, disease progression, and how to fix it all--mostly through diet and lifestyle change. Author is a pharmacist, so she is informed about pharmaceutical matters, and shares that too. I disagree with her about natural (whole food based) and synthetic supplements, and with she had done more scientific referencing, but that information is available on her website. All in all, a very worthwhile book for anyone wanting to learn about the progression of autoimmune diseases.Read full review

Best Thyroid Information
This very helpful book outlines a common sense protocol for reversing thyroid disease using a functional medicine approach. Dr. Wentz is in remission herself and she has worked with many patients who have been successful as well. All of the things you might need to do to heal can feel overwhelming, but she takes it step by step. She says that most patients start to feel better after a few days to a few weeks. She also gives information for people who may not respond as quickly by giving ideas and resources for trying to find the root cause of which there can be many. This book gives hope and lets you know that you are not alone and you don't have to live with thyroid disease forever. I found it tremendously helpful and highly recommend it. Also very educational to help those who live with a person with thyroid disease to understand the complexities and needs of their loved one's condition.Read full review

Great. For Thyroid disorders
I am feeling the positive results of this plan having to do with my thyroid. As small a gland that the thyroid is it can wreak tremendous havoc in our lives. And this book allows me to bring the thyroid activity under control. It has given me such hope now that I know I have control. It's all about diet diet diet.
