I saw a friend's drawing desk and had to have one for technical drafting and writing but these desks are also good for other artistic work and hobbies. I use a drafting machine on mine which has already been very productive. My friend paid twice as much for hers but this one is just as well designed except it doesn't have clip-on trays either side (which would have made the table too wide for the space in my room anyway). The side drawers are made of very light material and not really suitable for heavy items but good for most stationery. Some heavier items can go in the metal tray underneath the desk. The platform on top of the drawers is very handy indeed for a laptop, drinks and snacks or other items. The tilt mechanism is a bit noisy but seems quite robust with plenty of variation in the angle available for most uses and of course the table can be used flat if necessary. The stool is quite practical (but I prefer a chair and use the stool in a storeroom) There is plenty of legroom. Assembly was quite easy (and even enjoyable if you like to make things). The screws and washers were packed so it was easy to get the correct ones while leaving the others with their labels. Needed a screwdriver as well as the provided "tools". Great surface size and good to work on. Drawers are a bit flimsy, but I had seen that in other reviews. I have plenty of bits and bobs that tuck away in there anyway. I am happy with my purchase.

This is a really sturdy desk and the tilt top is huge. Great for any size paper. The most impressive features are its stability, strength and durability plus the affordable price. The drawers on the right are a little flimsy but suitable for pencils, reference photos etc. The solid top of the drawers makes up for this as it is same material as the drawing tilt top, I intend to use it for drawing and watercolour painting, in my opinion its a great piece of kit. I can thoroughly recommend it to any aspiring artist.
