Amazing product, excellent but you MUST have a formal knowledge base!
I bought this product to brush up on my French, which I grew up speaking, but haven't actively used in years. I used this similar book while learning Portuguese(501 Portuguese Verbs) but with an instructor and in a structured class. This book is not for someone just learning or teaching themselves French unless you are VERY ambitious. I would recommend this book for someone who already has a knowledge base of oral communication and wants to enhance their written and text comprehension. Any of the 501 Verb books you need a strong knowledge of even the English language to understand the Simple and Compound tenses that these books break down for you. It is also in French to English, so if you are "looking" for a verb, you need to know what that verb is in the language of the book you own. You cannot seek out the verb in English and then expect to easily find the translation. I very much enjoy these books by Barron's but you must have a substantial basis of the language. These books are not 1-2-3, yay, I speak another language.Read full review

Great condition, although used. Very helpful in writing in French. Many extra features are near the end of this book--expressions, etc. Very useful .

Excellent!
Great! very useful for my A.P. french language class. Book is great and easy to use. Index reference at the back of the book in English makes it easy to find verbs. Also includes tests that help you practice your french skills.

Comprehensive and Helpful for Upper Level French
This book is very useful. I have found it an easy to use reference, once you get the hang of it. It's especially useful for upper level language courses, since the tenses are sometimes hard to find in one place. The book offers a unique way to study specific verbs.

Great!
I love how I can easily get to a verb. I bought it because I am a french major. There were no damages to the book and I was very happy because of that. I also was glad that it came quick. It wasn't like other things that I have waited a long time for. The book is easy, quick, and efficient.
