I have purchased a number of these Projecta IDC25 chargers into 4WD and caravans now and they are an excellent product. In my vehicle it has been subjected to a number of days of extreme summer heat over 40 degrees ambient, on top of the high engine compartment temperatures on an extended trip. The Projector got extremely hot to the point that I could have fried an egg on it while it was working flat out each day charging an auxiliary battery at 25 amps for hours - it never missed a beat. During that time I melted a few fuse holders within the engine compartment but the Projecta worked flawlessly. This DC to DC converter has been designed well. It has all the features needed to connect up a second battery and let you know what is happening. It avoids the extra cost of displays and gauges and just performs the task required - keeping the second battery well charged and protecting the first battery from being run down.
