Being a mechanic, what you look for in a throw over seat cover is a material that is thick enough to not allow accidental dirt / fluids to get to your seats. This cover is paper thin nylon and offers minimal seat protection. With that said, if you're looking for a show style, very lite weight seat cover, this is it. For me, it should be referred to as a show seat cover, not a mechanic seat cover.
