Bought this for someone with arthritis who struggles with housework. They'd not been vacuuming with their barrel vacuum because it too too much effort. They enjoy using their new V8 The Dyson stick has enough battery life ON LOW to do most of the two bedroom apartment in one go. It comes with the most important tools. Incredibly easy to manoeuvre, does edges well, and it's easy to empty the canister. The ONLY drawback is that the filter is a nuisance to clean properly (can be messy). I bought a spare filter so that the vacuum can be used whilst the first filter is drying. It'd be great if Dyson could improve the filter design to make washing it easier. Cat fur and fine dust accumulate in the filter and have to be tapped out, under running water.

This is my 2nd Dyson vacuum cleaner, the 1st l purchased in 2007. I’m very happy with the V8 model however the narrow wand attachment somehow has not been included in the packaging. If this could be replaced l would be very happy to give Dyson a big 5 star... Thanks Geoff
