I researched this type of product extensively before purchasing, so if it did not meet my requirements I would have been very surprised. I wanted a slow cooker which had a timer, was able to sear the meat, hence doing away with a second pan, and also automatically switched to warm when cooking completed. It also is not too tall so fits into my cupboard quite easily.
