This album was originally purchase for the song 'Thank You' which I heard on the moving 'The Way'. After listening to the album it was very clear that you need to sit down and listen the whole album because there is a story line that runs through the album. It is not just a collection of songs. The songs on this album talk about Alanis's journey of learning who she really should be on not what others thing she should be. To stop relying other people complements for her self worth. To stop believing she has let others down when they are not happy with her. Or respond negatively to her and put her down so they can make themselves feel better about themselves. This album shows that self worth should come from within each of us and is unique for each individual. It also reflects on the fact self with is a practical life skill and requires engagement and effort that is sometime not pleasant but will bring wholeness to our human existence.Read full review
