The Global paring knife is a perfect size for my smallish hands. Peels thinly, sharp for cutting fruit and vegetables, even cheese. I recently lost two (possibly to the compost bin) and its been difficult working without them.

The blade had a very course ground finish unlike other Global knives I have. It took a lot of work with abrasive papers and waterstones before it was up to what I consider an acceptable standard. Work that may be beyond the abilities of an average buyer. The back of the blade is much thicker than most paring knives which also reduces its performance as a slicer. It is to soon for me to comment about steel quality and edge retention but I hope they are up to the normal Global standard.

Nimble little knife for those who prefer a shorter blade. I've read complaints that the handle is too thin, but for its intended use as a paring knife I think it's perfect, allowing me to easily adjust my grip as needed. Global's larger chopping/slicing knives have larger handles that fit their intended uses. Needless to say, it's a very sharp blade and I wouldn't hand it to a child with less than perfect control.

Great product. The knife size is small.

Long time user of Global Knives. This is the second one I've purchased only because I love it so much, not because it needed replacement! Going on 5 years and still haven't needed to sharpen it
