bed colour slightly darker than picture. You need to read up before putting together.Also there is a video to watch how to do it too. It did take a long time but all the parts were there -a small adjustment needed when one space didnt line up properly - we got a round file and fixed that. When getting the frame to come down once you have put the gas lifts on you need 2 people to press down on either side over the struts as it doesnt have any weight on it. Once the matress is on it is heavy to lift but easy to go down. I got lots of stuff under mine including suitcases old picture frames etc. The bed makes the room look neater and I wont have to try and vacuum under the bed again!
