I installed the mini sound bomb on my ST1050 Sprint motorcycle. The pros Easy to fit Good small size Sound is excellent, a loud deep tone, a massive improvement on the original beep horn. The cons The original 12v power supply was inadequate to operate the horn, I had to install a relay to supply the 5 amp 12v to make it work. Summary Despite having to install a relay, I would strongly recommend this horn, it is an excellent safety device for any motorcycle that could save your life

Yes its built well, large resonator horn and in sound loudness a step up from the standard horn. However in a side by side test its not nearly as loud as expected or indicated on package. With the skill level of drivers dropping fast, I bought this as a way to loudly warn people of thier stupidity and or unsafe actions when I was riding. Ease of installation could not be better and usng the original wiring is great but I'm not impressed and I think I've just payed for a fancy resonator and a standard horn driver. I'm 90% certain I will just switch back and put it on the shelf until I buy an air horn.

The sound is really decent for an electromagnetic horn as opposed to a compressor driven horn, but not nearly as loud as a compressor horn. the sound is as expected louder than a standard high pitched beep, but more importantly, it is a deeper richer sound. My horn came with a few scratches as it seemed loosely packed and no initial plastic around the actual horn inside the branded product box, this leads me to think it may have been opened and removed from the packet before it was sent to me and the nut and bracket can bounce around damaging the appearance a little, so I can not vouch for other peoples purchases. After the conversion rate from USD to Aud I would have expected the price to be about $42/$45 Aussie dollars as Revzilla do it for $29.99 USD, so $74.00Aud was a steep price, just under double, although this product is quite hard to source as a customer but typical of Australia we get gouged. I bought it because I wanted it NOW.Read full review

The horn itself is of high quality with a definite 100% improvement on sound. It has a loud and deep note which is far and above the OEM BMW horn. The only negative is that I had to make a bracket up to mount the horn in the original location, but this only took 5 minutes.

I like the unit but it is not a straight forward swap (as advertised) - the electrical connections do not fit the oem pin. New connection easy enough, but requires work.

The horn was easy to install and when I first used it, it was directing sound towards the rider. I rotated it to point more forwards the front and it is good. Hopefully I will not need to use it, but is there just in case.

Strong construction. Nice and loud. It’s much larger and a different shape to the standard horn so it’s a bit of a challenge to fit it into the same space. I had to make a special bracket to tuck it up under the fairing. But it works ver well.

Second one I have bought for another bike. Very loud, a little on the large size but doesn't look out of place. Love it.

Z800 needed to run additional wiring and relay as it blew the 7.5amp fuse when used at same time as the brakes. Otherwise great horn.

They claim 113dB. I measured 90dB at 1 metre. It is no louder than my standard horn. Just a slightly deeper tone. Unless your standard horn is really weak, don't bother with this one
