I really enjoyed putting this together and the smooth way is open and closes. I have seen other reviews that said that they couldn't shut the book with the Red Riding Hood figures inside, but I just lay them down and didn't have any trouble. I am new to Lego building and found the instructions well set out and clear.

This Pop up book is great fun to but together and the pop up mechanism is fairly simple .The characters for the two stories are great there is Red Riding hood her Granny and the wolf (in Grannies clothing) There is a bed that any of the minifigs can fit in and a table with food all behind the pop up house and garden, You can swap to Jack and the beanstalk that has a pop up Village in the clouds with the giants castle and beanstalk, There is a giant and a tiny but perfectly formed Jack. and so accessories. It is a very cleverly thought out kit and playable.
