A friend brought theirs for a camping trip and it is the handiest lamp ever! I love how it was solar-powered and the charge lasts for hours. The small size meant we could hang it in the tent, plus the lighting is adjustable. And it can be made a bit longer when you walk around the dark campgrounds. I really like the glow-in-the-dark feature, makes it easy to spot and also the dim glow gives off a comforting light? Lol. Anyway, just a nifty little lamp that will be part of all my camping trips :)

This is my third Darche light. I bought two as presents to my camping kids. Whilst not cheap, it represents fair value given quality and functionality of product. It folds down to a convenient and compact unit, and pops out to create a functional light. The inbuilt hanging hook works well as an overhead lantern and it can be inverted and used a stable table light. It is very bright on top setting and the glowing silicon light diffuser is a great touch; offering some low level illumination when lamp is off, and allowing one to locate it in the dark. I concur with others who say it could do with an even dimmer light setting and its functionality could also be enhanced if it had magnets in the base, it would be perfect. In all, a very robust, well designed and high performing product. The battery showed no signs of running down but have not tested to exhaustion.
