I’m new to this hobby and prior to investing in a scope, I looked at hundreds of different scopes. Admittedly, the more I read the more confused I got. In the end, I took a leap of faith on the skywatcher heritage 6” scope after reading some promising articles. Having used it several times now, and even sharing the experience with my 5yo son, I honestly have no regrets.. yes, even my 5yo son played with it and had fun. This showed how easy it was to use, set up, and how sturdy the build quality was. Paired with the Sky Guide iOS app, I easily found Jupiter and Saturn (other planets were rising above the horizon too late/early for me at this stage :P). The crescent moon was in amazing detail so I really can’t wait for the next full moon. I haven’t been successful at looking at nebulae, but at the moment, I’m quite happy looking in our own solar system. From what I understand, the 6” aperture isn’t quite enough to experience the nebulae in their full glory. Now I find myself looking at getting accessories to explore more of the sky above us! I had no regrets getting this telescope and I’m sure any beginners wouldn’t either. Read full review
