The iconic, compact pedal design was unveiled in 1977 with the groundbreaking OD-1 OverDrive. In 1981, BOSS launched the SD-1 Super OverDrive onto the market, which also had a sound control. Since then, this workhorse has been in production ever since and graces the pedalboards of beginners and professionals around the world. To mark the 50th anniversary of BOSS, the SD-1-B50A Limited edition Super OverDrive with metallic paint, silver thumbscrew, gold-colored buttons and the 50th anniversary emblem. The SD-1-B50A comes in an exclusive livery with a special 4-digit serial number and custom packaging, and features the same popular circuitry as the standard SD-1 Super OverDrive.
