I bake my own bread. I needed a way to freeze my bread that didn't result in freezer burn and that freezer taste.
The Onya bread storage bag is a perfect way for me to freeze my loaves and rolls. They go in fresh, and they come out fresh, and taste only of yummy home made bread.
There are no zips or buttons, just place your bread in the bag, roll the excess material down, and click the connectors (which also make a handy carry handle).
For the bench top storage, the bags are just as fabulous. Put the bread in, roll the excess material down, then click the connectors. Simple.
As their blurb says, the bags won't keep the bread fresh forever, but they do keep my home made bread fresh for about 3 days (not bad actually).
Being multi-use is fantastic. We all want less waste, right? And they are made of recycled plastic, so even less waste going into landfill.
But, even though they are made of recycled plastic, you wouldn't think so from the feel, and the look. They look good, are very well made, and are very good quality. They are easy to clean, just turn the bag inside out and shake out the crumbs. A quick wipe with a damp cloth to clean up any stickiness left over from apple bread, and once it's dry, you're good to go with storing another loaf.
I have recommended them to friends, and now I recommend them to you.
