The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I felt it needed a bit more strengthening to hold it firm in strong winds. I screwed more holes into the corners to keep them tightly together. Otherwise is it excellent. Arms are plastic so won’t rust. Awning itself is made of weather proof plastic. I left the white protective coating on the underside to shade my back door more in summer. It might not hold for long in the weather but it’s under neath so not in the direct sun. It is meant to be taken off, not designed to stay on just to prevent it from getting scratched in transit. I will buy another one after I see how this one holds up but pretty confident it will be fine
