The MXR FOD Drive combines the power of two overdriven amp stacks in one compact effects pedal. Professional musicians and sound tinkerers have been combining several amplifiers on stage and in the studio for years in order to create completely new sound possibilities with the ideal mixing ratio. The MXR design team took this approach further and carefully analyzed two specially tuned amplifiers. One of the amps has been modified for a 'super-scoop' high-gain sound, the other has been modified for a rich mid-range crunch. The combination of the two amplifiers convinced with an incredibly complex, harmonic range of different sounds, drive styles and tonal possibilities.
