It was hard to follow the characters when it streamed, because of the poor voicing, but the subtitles on the DVDs made the characters in action ore understandable. There was too much melodrama, and far too much emphasis on LBTQR+ themes, as well as overdone special effects. The Discovery seemed like the Tardis: bigger on the inside (by a lot).
