Study built, energy economic, excellent Heater for full room. Have been able to run this Heater in Low (750watt) mode most of the time and keep warm a medium sized room. Better results than my previous ceramic 2400watt heater which used a LOT more electricity, and was only effective sat right next to me (worse airflow and heating performance by a mile). This is a solid unit, whisper quiet, and the specially designed air propulsion fan design works quite well. A good investment (and a saving on electricity bills over winter!)

A nice solid all metal construction which is why I bought it . My 30 year old Australian made Plastic heater was starting to fall apart as the plastic had become brittle through old age . As some others have stated this thing just lacks power ( heat ) . The old 2400W Australian made heater would warm the room in 15 - 20 minutes and have the room hot in 40 - 45 minutes . Now the Vornado is only 1500W so quite a bit less power - However after 45 minutes to an 1 hour in the same room the Vornado just took the chill out of the air , after about 2 hours it had maintained the room by not allowing it to become cold but never really warmed it up properly ! It would seem that possibly to get the same warming out of the Vornado as the old Australian made product maybe 2 would be required ? It is reasonably quite however to try and sleep with the heater still going ( not recommended from a safety standpoint ) I know it would likely keep me awake unless I was really tired , it is about as noisy as my old Australian made one . Advertised as a Whole Room Heater gives one the impression of a powerful, efficient unit. Unfortunately, the performance is such that it could only heat up a very small Whole Room. I have had better results from a Cheap fan heater purchased at Bunnings. The product looks good, but it’s performance is lacking .
