It was not difficult to put this battery into the MacBook Pro mid-2010 15in. But the track pad would not longer click easily. I consulted the supplier who was apologetic. And suggested making some adjustment to the battery which I did not understand. The battery had to be thinned a bit. I removed the battery again and realised that under black cloth over battery cells there were lumps. I carefully removed this sticky fabric and saw that there were battery elements held together by white tape in lumpy mess. i carefully thinned down these layers of tape and put the fabric back in place. The surface now smoother. And the track pad can be clicked. This was a $40 battery. It is a $40 battery. It works, but requiring some unexpected repairs to it.

Purchased this for my 2nd Macbook Pro 2011 15inch model. The battery I had purchased was advertised to work on my model. However, after a full charge, and then allowing the battery to drain, it always drops at 60% down to 7% and will then shut down within 5-10 minutes. I reported this to the owner of the store " Steve", however he told me the battery needed calibrating. I troubleshooted this for over a week, and after stumbling across some mac forums where users have reported the same exact issue, the problem is the battery. I contacted the store to request a replacement however have been ignored. The owner hasn't been helpful. I'm currently stuck with a Macbook Pro which requires me to have it plugged into a gpo most of the time, because the this Salnex battery does not hold it's charge. I wouldn't recommend buying these batteries (especially at their higher advertised price), because you run the risk of getting a defective battery as I did. The battery for the macbook pro 15.4 inch 2010 model has sadly is of not a good quality. The old saying goes that you got what you pay for holds so true in this instance as the battery does not perform as it should. It takes twice the time to charge than the original one and it drains just as quick when the original needs replacing. I tend to wonder what the difference is between the old original and the new after market battery. Clearly, the old original battery is still far more better even if it needs replacing already. I wouldn't recommend this battery to anyone.
