some shortcomings, mostly great
Here's a few points about my experience with this product: * There's almost no paper instructions in or on the box! I would prefer a little something to get me started as it's really not intuitive if you haven't used it before. * The touch wheel thing isn't calibrated very well (at least on my setup). I changed the sensitivity but the values still fly all over the place. This was a feature that I didn't really want to use so I'm not too bothered. Other buttons all work great. * The driver doesn't seem completely flawless when using with mac / photoshop. (It's true I don't necessarily have the latest OS or version of photoshop). However the actual tablet driver seems to crash when the computer/software/tablet is operated in a certain sequence - can't get the tablet to work after that without rebooting the computer. Obviously I learned quickly what to avoid. * There's a little button that turns the trackpad feature on and off. (With the trackpad off the tablet will only work with the pen and not your fingers). I like that. Means you can simplify things if you want to concentrate on drawing. * You can save the settings (ie button values/sensitivity etc) you use most often. However it seems to use a different (?!) setting file when you use bluetooth. So you can't copy the usb settings to the bluetooth settings. You have to recreate the values. Seems like anyway. * There's an on/off button that you only use when operating with bluetooth. Bluetooth fairly easy to setup and operate. * It comes with a bunch of spare tips but I find they wear down rather faster than expected.Read full review

Wacom are a god send for illustrators
The Wacom Intuos Pro is seriously the best thing since sliced bread. Using a tablet and a pen to draw and work across all creative programs makes life so much faster. Don’t put up with a mouse, Wacom will make things easier. It does take some practice to get used to the pen- persist! It took me a day of practice, have never looked back.

I should've gone with something cheaper to begin with, but Intuos Pro just offers much more than what others are capable of. Pen nib feels a bit too stiff (for my preference. Changing nibs for pen/texture sheet is possible). But overall, premium (hence the "pro") and fingerprint-magnet drawing tablet it is! :)
