Half right.
My unit has a headphone jack on the opposite end to the R/L output plugs, alongside the power connector. It works OK with normal television output audio to both the headphones and R/L output plugs. When I play a video the output from the R/L plugs causes a very loud screeching from the display panel speakers, whereas the headphones still have good audio which is not adjustable for volume control. The product picture displayed for this product review had all output plugs on the same end, so it may be different to the one I purchased.

Unable to control volume
If I am using this incorrectly, I would love to know. From what I have experienced, I can connect this easily to my Panasonic LED TV, or to my Apple TV, so that I can use with ordinary 3.5mm headphones. But I cannot control the volume when this is in use, and it's too loud to enjoy.

With the Australian wall plug adaptor, I found it a bit flimsy and stuck out from the wall too far. Also the led light is really bright. Otherwise converter works well.

A neat little converter
I have a 5.1 surround system that I absolutely love and did not want to replace with a sound bar (which are crummy in my view!) I needed to have a converter that would attach to my smart tv and back to the analog signal from the surround system. This little converter has all the inputs required to do this! I went with the Toslink connector due to it strong digital signal but the converter offers RCA also.

Gets the job done on the cheap
I use this to get sound from my PS4 to my monitor speakers that have a 3.5mm jack input. It simply works. Good volume output. Decent quality sound output. I do get a slight amount of noise/buzzing but it's not noticeable if you actually have sound playing. Only annoying thing about it is the solid, blue LED that is constantly lit up when it is powered on. Overall, a very convenient product for the price.
