It’s exactly as the picture, except the poles are thinner than we had hoped and it’s still a bit wonky when put together. The poles on the inside are made of plastic not wood. But the cats love and each other up and though everything. It’s the perfect size for 2 cats to play or rest.

The instructions are the worst of any product I've bought, and the material is so weak that if you tighten it just a tiny bit too much it snaps the 'wood'. Good device, terrible instructions - low quality copying on fine lines isn't a good combo, and some of it had worn off anyway. It's got a parts list (good) but that appears to be for a shorter version of this, therefore the parts list is wrong (bad). It's not hard to construct it if you lay out the parts carefully and use the picture and the instructions together, but it would be so easy to make this actually useful.

The boxes pictured on the scratcher are actually material stretched over a frame so I doubt it will last long with big fat cats stretching the elastic that holds it together. Otherwise it's a good scratcher easy to assemble.

Very vague instructions. You can work it out but some pieces are supposed to be used in a certain way to avoid stress points and this is not shown. Cubbies are soft tents not solid as they appear in the pic. This does not detract from it's use just misleading. Platforms and cubbies would suit younger, smaller or lighter cats. Large adult cats don't have enough room to use most areas. Kittens would love it.
