A not-so-typical comedy alien invasion flick!.
As per the synopsis, this movie takes aim at 50's b-movies with it's own theme of the classic alien invasion, featuring a mega all-star cast of the likes of Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Michael J. Fox, Annette Benning, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, just to name afew!. As goofy as this movie is, it is nevertheless enjoyable, anytime of the year!.

While fun, Mars Attacks lacks the zest of Beetlejuice and instead chooses to revel in alien invasion cliches like its contemporary Independence Day, to lesser effect. Good for a giggle and the SFX, but not much else.
