Based on a true story, the movie 'Belle' brings to light the stark reality of discrimination and avarice within the realms of the British upper class. However, within that same societal sector there are individuals who, due to their genuine affection and love of Belle, are willing to override the traditions and prejudices of the day. The movie is well worth watching, and certainly stirs up sentiments which may well move the viewer to experience relief at not being born in that period of history.
