These strings sound great and made my entry level Fender CD-60SCE sound like a much higher tier guitar. They are also extremely easy to play, with a really smooth action. I love them. My only Gripe is the near $30 price tag...but as the old saying goes...You get what you pay for!

I have used Elixir Nanowebs for years now, i's so hard to find anything comparable. I tried these hoping, and while these strings do last a bit longer than any regular string - they are nowhere near what Elixirs are. I gig every weekend, normally playing for 10 hours. These strings collected grime and oxidised still quite a bit. The Elixirs just simply don't do that anywhere near as much. The Elixirs also take a bit more of a beating. I can normally get 2 weekends out of a set without a breakage, these Morgan strings broke every second gig. So for half the price of Elixirs, these barely make the grade. The feel of the steel strings was quite nice though, they responded and had a great feel to them which I actually preferred over the Elixirs I normally get at the same gauge. All in all, I'll be sticking to Elixirs - if anyone finds a product that does what Elixirs do for cheaper, let me know! For a player who likes a strum every now and then, these strings will do and are pretty well priced. For gigging musicians, you may want something that holds up a bit better. Read full review

Well, they certainly work, I can't deny that. They look good too. They come standard on a Maton, so they must be ok. They are a bit expensive, but supposedly last longer. But by how much longer? And that much...! Sometimes I find the slippery feel a bit annoying, but then when I go back to regular strings, you notice the drag and wear on your digits. If ya get them for a good price, it's worth it. Just work out what gauge you like and buy bulk. Only problem is, because they supposedly last longer, if you choose the wrong gauge, you're stuck with 10 years supply of strings! Lol

I don't get the excitement about Elixir. Just another set of strings imo. While not affecting the sound, the wound strings got fuzzy looking in some areas somehow (G string at sound hole, D & A at other points on the neck). Tarnished a bit sooner than usual in a few spots as well. May not squeak as loud as un-coated, but still do.

These are great sounding strings that last far longer than many other brands. Although more expensive, their life on the guitar makes them far cheaper in the long run. Well worth the conversion. Neil Jolly (FOLKUS duo band, Melbourne)
