I purchased this gel for a large scar on my foot after surgery. The surgeon instructed vigorous massaging of the scar to help stop the tissue from becoming too tight. So far I have found the gel to be very good to use, it stays wet for the 2 minutes needed for the massage and I believe doing the job of assisting in breaking down the scar.
