The Chromecast with Google TV turns an ordinary TV into a full blown Android TV, provided you have an HDMI connection on the TV. We have a Hisense TV that doesn't have many apps (Disney+ and Binge I'm looking at you) and this turns it into a proper full function smart TV and I can link my various streaming subscriptions to it. It also plays well with the other older Chromecasts in the house. Really easy to set up using the Google Home App on my Samsung S10. So much more than just a Chromecast. Reasonably easy to set up and works well. Main reason for purchase was to watch Disney + with the use of a remote on a TV that did not offer the app, which both work very well. You will need a device with the Google Home App. Don't assume your Android device can get this app, it was not supported on my Samsung Galaxy J3. Thankfully I have an iPad Air (about a year older than the phone) which did support the Google Home App. The need for this app was not mentioned anywhere in any of the descriptions, details or specifications - on any supplier, not just the one I purchased through. MAKE SURE you have a device that supports the GOOGLE HOME APP before purchase.
