Being of the older generation who saw the original stage play, I found this version perhaps too modern and the voices not as strong as the Australian performers I had loved so much. That said this is perhaps the version that a younger audience would appreciate far more. The characters were well portrayed and delivered. The female voices were lovely. Superstar remains an amazing abridgement of the Jesus story, that I love.
