Best classic western. Alan Ladd a retired gunfighter emerges as the hero of a frontier town run by a corrupt cattle baron. Good overcomes evil and the hero rides away in the darkness to other adventures that await him. He is farewelled by a young farmboy who he had befriended earlier on entering his parents farmland at the beginning of the movie.
