Great Little Unit, needed a little Help to setup it Correctly, Good Backup from TP-Link Australian Help desk. The Technician went through the Procedure to setup this Little Modem/Router. Works great as an Wireless Extender on Main Router, Downloads >50Mbps and Upload >18Mbps Speeds exactly same as Main Router. Works great as a Travel modem/Router using 4G Mobile Network in Remote areas with Mobile Coverage. Internet Speeds excellent. Works as AP via ethernet and Wireless. Does WISP as well. Very Small, compact, Great device for the Traveller on Hotel WIFI Systems as well.

A great little router. I'm using it as a ired second outer to extend my wifi signal. I'm getting similar download speeds at the other end of the house from the main router, thanks to this little box of magic.

If you're always on the road (like I am), you'll invariably connect through public networks such as hotspots and motels free wifi. But how many other users are on that same network? Can they see sensitive information on your computer? Who knows. I don't take any chances and for under $50, it's cheap insurance and state of mind. It's not the fastest out there, but definitely the most affordable. Basically, you connect to it, then login to the web interface, find a hotspot and connect through the box. Internet in Australian is still slow, so the measly 433Mbps @5GHz works out to roughly 43.3MB/s which is more than enough of the 2.5-3MB/s speeds of motels and even lower in public areas. There's a few ways to use it, first is as above as a VPN, or multiple devices can share a connection (such as caravan parks that only have 1 connection per unit) or via ethernet (although they're becoming less and less in motels), as a wifi extender. It's even got a USB for wireless file sharing and quick charging devices. Being that it's from TP-Link also means I generally won't have any problems with it in 12 months (like D-Link). I've changed over a lot of my wifi devices to TP-Link and find they're easy to setup, use and are fairly reliable.Read full review

small sized multipurpose unit that does everything you need for being a wifi extender to an access point to a wifi client. i used this as a wifi client where i receive wifi from my home router then i feed internet to my non-wifi PC and other equipment via ethernet outlet. very handy. good price and good size. can't go wrong. tp-link make many good practical devices for a reasonable price.
