I bought this based on online video review of its use and repeatability. Seems to be well made and good quality. Haven't used this item that much but seems to zero well being an absolute caliper and consistent readings/measurements when checked at various points along the caliper jaws. The base attachment looks to be a useful add on for depth measurements. Also has a rubber grommet/plug seal for the battery compartment and came with a spare battery too.

I bought this product because online reviews claimed it as good as Mitutoyo calipers. It is not, build quality and repeatability are some way behind. It isn't a bad caliper and is better than many I have used but Igaging calipers are certainly a good way behind those made by Mitutoyo. Thats probably all you can expect given the price difference.

These calipers have exceeded my expectations. They are accurate to two decimal points and are able to be turned off. They do not turn on when you move the slide, you must manually turn them on a great battery saving feature. Uses standard CR2032 batteries which are cheaper than the smaller button batteries.
