After a long a hard search for a replacement of an old cistern outlet valve, I tried this model when I was told that it should work. Lo and behold it did! Although I had to do some modifications on the push tabs to make it work by cutting one pair and permanently attaching them to another pair in order to finally insert the wider top pair to make it work. The first set took a little longer to figure out but the second one came easier of course. With determination, thank you Caroma for a solution to keep the old toilets and not have to replace the whole thing.
