The instructions that come with the unit are good making it easy to operate The griddle plates and pan are also lightweight making them easy to change and clean. As with anything new you need to adjust your cooking times and temperature settings to suit your own preferences. The unit is small so it probably would not suit a large family. When opened it would comfortably fit four medium sized steaks. The only downside is that the power cord is a bit short, so you would need a power source close to the unit.
