this desk was harder than normal to put together so there was pieces that broke off the timber whilst trying to put the item together not big chunks but small bits the desk didn't completely attach properly this useable and technically put together however the drawers section is a bit unstable as is the adjoining section the color of the wood is really pretty and all in all its a good desk once assembled but I would suggest if your not good at this sort of thing that its harder than it looks and heavier as well than it looks and takes a lot of patience to assemble but again its decent but I personally wouldn't pay that price again for this specific desk
