This broom is great on wood floors and also very good on carpet. What i really love is the adjustable height making it much easier to use, i am 6 foot and find it harder to use many vacuums and brooms. I also find this broom useful to get to hard to reach cobwebs on very high ceilings and kill massive huntsmen spiders with effectively.

Does the broom pull up pet hair off the rug? To a degree. But as soon as you go to make another stroke what you've pulled off falls off and is back on the rug. You have to do one stroke and clean the broom each time to make it work effectively.
