Lets face it, when you're newly pregnant you mostly hear either doom and gloom or the advice is so medical it can be hard to decipher (or conflicting). Up the Duff is a light-hearted read (the diary sections) that make you laugh as you nod your head in agreement knowing you are going through the same types of things. At the same time, it also has the medical advice (without the medical jargon) so you know what to look out for and speak to your Dr about if you have any concerns. PLEASE make sure you get the latest version if buying online. Ask the seller what the published date is. The book is updated periodically with the latest information. I bought 2 books (one for myself, another for a friend also due) and found one was the published only 2 months before, the other 5 years ago even though both were 'new' and the covers were identical.Read full review

There is heaps of info which is great but a little overwhelming. The book also talks about alot of problems and issues which could arise but are unlikely; good to know I guess but if you're someone like me who over thinks and panics then the book can be a little stressful. Accurate information though. The book also has a "diary" section in each chapter which is a fictional story which i hated and thought it wasn't relevant...its either a fictional book or non-fictional, not both.
