A Brief History of Ancient Greece
I liked the length of this book considering the topic. The title is very appropriate in that it is a Brief history. For a college textbook I believe this would be an excellent text for students who are studying to become teachers at the level where they will be likely to teach several subjects, such as History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology and the middle school level. Enough information to whet the interest of both the college student/future teacher and the future middle school students. I opted to buy this book for the simple fact that it is one of the required readings for one of my son's courses and it was exceptionally priced. Now my son tells me how great he believes this book is. Check it out.

A condensed, concise version of the original.
I bought this book for Stanley Burstein's Ancient Greece class. It is a nice supplement to his lectures, and you can learn a lot about ancient Greece with this book. There are some nice pictures and if you like history there is little that is uninteresting in this book.
