This album is terrific. This is the original release of the album, before it was re-released on Brushfire with a different track order, different songs (Possibly Drown, rather than Walls of Jericho), and a different version of Girl, I Wanna Lay You Down (Jack Johnson and Zack Gill sing different verses and Jack is more prominent throughout the song, compared to the Brushfire version). It's cool to hear this edition of the album because some of the vocals are a little rougher and Girl, I Wanna has Jack singing the opposite verses of what he sings on the Brushfire release. Pretty rad. These guys don't get nearly enough coverage or credit for the fantastic music they make. Check them out. Possibly Drown is far and away my favorite tune by these guys. Simply wonderful. Thank you ALO for being so amazing. Keep making more killer music!

The Beatles... In (Proper) Stereo!
While the packaging isn't anything too fantastic, it is simple and to the point. The albums inside are what it's really all about. The new remasters are terrific. As many people have said, the bass is a tad heavier than the CDs that were produced in '87, but it works. Everything is much better balanced across the left and right channel and everything sounds crisp and clean. Ringo's drums sound terrific! This is a welcome improvement. The earlier albums are what really benefit from this treatment and all the tiny nuances of sound shine through brilliantly. No longer are the right and left channel muddled together in the middle. Everything has space. It all just sounds great. If you're a Beatles fan and you're still on the fence, just go for it. You'll find it to be well worth it.
