Jungen! Wie Sie Glücklich Heranwachsen: Aus D. Engl. Biddulph, Steve; Biddulph,

A sweet topping on all day life
Steve Biddulph gives a great overview into a boy's psychology related to his body chemistry, tricks and tips on how to deal with your boy in happy and challenging times. From baby to adulthood. Written for everyone, he doesn't go right into the depths of hormone chemistry etc. but makes clear how important it is to keep in mind what exactly drives young men and what society adds to it.
I can highly recommend this book, as I like to reflect and think about how I raise my kids. There is a bit for everyone in this book, a lot of humour and lots of love. Slow the time down a bit and be with your boy, time is so precious :), that's what I got out of it. Happy reading!

Isaac Newton and Physics for Kids: His Life and Ideas with 21 Activities by...

physics for older kids
We bought this book to get our kids into physics and the book is great (a bit floppy, but great). Anyway, the book is for older kids, I would say 12 years and up. The experiments are for younger kids, as well, but there is no way they would sit and read and read and understand for themselves. There is so much history and information -which is great- but yes, for adults and very interested older kids. So we actually read the book a bit at a time -just me, or my husband- and then translate for younger kids, sit on the floor and play with marbles and cars (actio, reactio ;)), tell them a bit about Isaac Newton's life and get some of the story through to them ;) have fun!
