Great value
1 of 1 found this helpful An 8hp pump for that much? Seems too good to be true.
You do get a 4-stroke petrol pump. Mine worked first pull after filling up with fuel & oil. Perfect as an entry-level fixed firefighter to drive sprinklers and hoses around the house. What’s the catch? The chassis is flexy and the fittings supplied are cheap plastic - throw them away. The outlet thread is a bit rough and only suitable to a barbed nut & tail type fitting that has a washer inside the nut as the thread has a section of the thread shaved off so no amount of thread tape will seal it.
These are small negatives compared to the bang for your buck. I will be happy if it gives me more than 3 years service.
